While experimenting this semester with black and white film one of our projects was to photograph humanity. This was one of the more difficult projects for me. I found myself not being able to capture natural moments in the way I wanted. A lot of my subjects were too aware and acted unnatural when I would pull out my camera. I had to get creative on how I wanted to capture them. I would pretend my camera was not working and quickly create a photo while they were waiting for me to fix it. There were also some dark room techniques I had to practice. In the photo of the cafe, the upper right third had no detail so I had to burn the corner and brought back some of the buildings details. Overall this project taught me to get creative in the way I capture photos. Hope you enjoy.
